May 19 – Station Wagons & Woodies

Beginning in 2018, Klingberg Family Centers has expanded to five events, the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series, giving car owners, visitors, and sponsors five days to enjoy unique automobiles. Each event will continue to have the Traditional Car Show with a 1979 cut-off year, Pre-war Automobile Display, and a new area for Special Feature Automobiles and bring awareness to issues facing children and families. We are pleased to welcome Wayne Carini and his daughter Lindsay back as Grand Marshals of the 2018 Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series. Wayne spent his childhood restoring antique cars and attending shows alongside his father and is now the star of Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity. Like her dad, Lindsay is also a collector of vintage automobiles.

If you grew up in the 40’s, 50’s, or 60’s, you probably have fond memories of family vacations or Sunday afternoon drives in the family station wagon. May is a great time to think once again about those memorable trips to the beach, the mountains, the zoo, or a ballgame with the family wagon packed and heading out on the open roads. Come and recall the memories as station wagons and woodies gather for this pre-vacation show.

The May event was rained out, so woodies and station wagons will be featured in September along with the Concorso of super cars.
