Even the gray skies and morning showers couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the car owners selected to show their automobiles at the Collector Car Experience on September 18th. Hosted by Mike Brewer (Wheeler Dealers) and Scott Hoke (host of Mecum Auctions on NBCSN), the event highlighted 22 amazing collector cars.
Each of these collector cars was selected for its uniqueness and iconic status in automotive history, representing 102 years of automobiles. Many are very rare, and most have also been seen at the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Festival. Their owners have shown their support for children and families, and we were delighted to highlight them in this way. Each of the automobiles has an interesting story attached to it, and the owners were excited to share these stories with an audience.
The Collector Car Experience exemplifies our growing relationship with the Big E. They were Platinum sponsors of the 2016 Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Festival, and our Platinum sponsors were given exposure at the Collector Car Experience on the programs handed out to the audience members and 18-foot banners displayed behind the stage. Several of our Motorcar Festival volunteers, both staff and community members, also volunteered their time for the Collector Car Experience.
As a bonus, Mike Brewer was able to attend our Cars & Coffee gathering on Saturday, September 17th. While here, he visited our auto restoration garage and learned more about Klingberg Family Centers and the Raymond Hill School. This provided him with valuable context to speak about our organization from the stage at the Collector Car Experience the next day along with our President, Dr. Steven Girelli.
We are so thankful to Mike, Scott, all of the participants, and our friends at the Big E for partnering with us to put on a great event and share with the audience about the important work done at Klingberg Family Centers to help children and families.
