James Thomas “Tim” Gallagher III had a lifelong fascination with motor-powered vehicles of all kinds. He raced a 1963 Corvette for many years and owned various boats and motor coaches over the years, as well as vintage trucks and cars. He combined his love of automobiles with determination and humility to begin Gallagher Buick GMC, building the company from a one-car showroom into a highly successful dealership. The dealership has won many awards over the past 30 years, but what mattered most to Tim was the praise from his customers, who have routinely commended the company’s quality and integrity, and his staff, many of whom worked with him for decades.
While Tim’s business prowess was notable, his core values and love for his family and friends are what really stand out. He was a kind and generous friend and supported several organizations, including Klingberg Family Centers. He taught by example that when you do what is right and focus on what truly matters, the rest will fall into place. His influence can be seen in his son Mike, who worked with his father for 17 years and carries on the family legacy and business today.
Tim Gallagher was honored at the 2016 Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Festival by Gallagher Buick GMC.
