Doug dusting his 1934 Packard before the Klingberg Concours d’Elegance in 2012 before he drove it across country

Doug Fernandez is a great friend to Klingberg, a regular participant in the Klingberg Concours d’Elegance and Winner of the Best in Show Trophy in 2012 with his 1934 Packard 1104 Super Eight Club Sedan. Doug ran a very successful auto body-shop in Newington, Connecticut, now operated by his son Doug, Jr. In his retirement, he restored this magnificent Packard and then drove it from Times Square New York, following the Lincoln Highway all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Doug’s story has been written up by Terry Shea in Hemmings Classic Car.
