The 2018 Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series got off to a great start on Saturday, April 21. The morning was chilly, but clear, and approximately 85 vintage automobiles made it out to our hilltop campus. Six trophies were awarded to an assortment of vehicles:
|Mentoring Program Trophy||1969 Chevy Chevelle SS Convertible||Russell Bosse|
|Best Feature Car (Model A)||1931 Ford Model A||Jack Zolnik|
|Summer Knights Car Club||1933 Ford Truck||Al Kolevich|
|Klingberg President’s Trophy||1949 MG TS||Michael Donnelly|
|Most Original||1930 Ford Truck||Al Eaton|
|Best in Show||1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1||Bob Luipold|
The event highlighted Klingberg’s Volunteer Mentoring Programs, which match adolescents to adult mentors who serve as positive adult role models and guides. We were pleased to have five individuals express an interest in becoming mentors as a result of this event.
The next event will be held on Saturday, May 19th. We will be looking towards summer vacations as we feature woodies and station wagons. In addition, we will be celebrating Foster Care Month by highlighting Klingberg’s Foster Care services.
